Sabrina is a specialist in actor training, physical theatre, and collaborative theatre-making.

I approach my work through the belief that theatre is an essential tool for democracy and social change. As an educator, I focus primarily on equitable and antiracist actor training while empowering each student to develop and take pride in their individual artistic identity. In addition to cultivating a collaborative classroom and rehearsal environent, I commonly use improvisation to unlock students’ personal connection to and understanding of material. It is important that my students feel like they can impact our classroom, school, and community culture through their individual identities and perspectives. Part of the beauty and messiness of collaboration involves decentralizing power and inviting everyone to stand in their own wisdom and authenticity. When each student is respected and nurtured, the strength of the community as a whole grows.
